On Oct.23, the opening meeting of national agricultural machinery equipment innovation centre  was held in Luoyang. Wang Zhijun, vice minister of Industry and Information and Liu Wei, vice governor of Henan province jointly unveiled a plaque for the centre, marking its formally operating.

　　The following leaders attended the meeting: Zhao Chunjiang, academician of CAE; Gao Yi, vice dean of Henan Development and Reform Commission; Hao Jinghong, deputy director of Henan provincial department of industry and information; Liu Wankang, mayor of Luoyang city; Ding Hongxiang, vice manager of SINOMACH and Cai Jibo, vice president of YTO.

　　National agricultural machinery equipment innovation centre is based on the upgrade of Henan intelligent agricultural machinery innovation centre. Headed by YTO, it has resources from YTO, ZOOMLION, Tsinghua University and Institute of Computing Technology, CAS.The centre’s task is bridging fundamental research and industrialization to promote agricultural machinery’s upgrading, eventually forming an ecological innovative environment of talents, fund, science and research and achievement transformation. At present, the centre has made phased objectives in core components and parts, robot, big data and so on.

　　Compared to developed countries, agricultural machinery in China has four main problems: first, science and technology innovation ability is not strong enough; second, agricultural machinery and techniques are not closed integrated; third, the collaborative effect of innovation subjects has not been formed; fourth, some key materials still rely on others countries. So the national centre has great significance of transformation and high quality development of agricultural machinery industry and it is the core support for our country’s agricultural modernization.

　　Wang Zhijun said the centre must do four things well: firstly, focusing on key generic technology; secondly, strengthening engineering innovation; thirdly, strengthening industrialization and industrial technology innovation alliance; fourthly, insisting on enterprise operation mechanism.

　　In the company of Liu Wei, Ding Hongxiang and Cai Jibo, Wang Zhijun visited national agricultural machinery equipment innovation centre and YTO Group after the meeting.
